Using the same in-mould engineered construction as their flagship models, the Avenue MIPS Helmet won't let you down should you bash your head. This system, pioneered by Bell, sees an impact-absorbing EPS foam fused to a durable outer shell. Should you be unfortunate to take a tumble, this system works to soak up damaging impact forces while maintaining excellent structural integrity. Bell have then deployed MIPS.
MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System)
Made to meet and exceed international standards, Bell turn to MIPS to add an extra layer of head protection to their Avenue helmet.
The Mips system is designed to provide added safety for helmets in many accidents. For certain impacts, the Mips system can reduce harmful rotational motion that might otherwise be transferred to the user’s head.
Rotational motion is a common cause of concussions in oblique hits to the head. In a crash, the Mips system is designed to move slightly inside the helmet to help redirect forces away from the head.

Stay Cool. Stay Comfortable.
While head protection is the primary goal, Bell hasn't ignored comfort either. The streamlined, sculptured design features a total of eighteen air vents. This gives a cool rush of air over the head and allows sweat an easy escape route too.
When you're generating a sweat, the Sweat Guide™ to the front pulls perspiration away from the brow pad and away from eyewear. The No-Twist Tri-Glides™ ensures easy adjustment and straps stay flat to keep your helmet nicely in place.
Ergo Fit™ (integrated with MIPS)
Giving you adjustment with just one hand, the Ergo Fit™ lets you dial in the fit so you always enjoy cycling comfort. With a secure fit, you can be confident of excellent protection at all times.
