AFS is the Disc Rotor Mount solution developed by Fulcrum to fix the disc brake to the hub. As a disc brake setup does not require a braking track, Fulcrum designed a completely new rim profile, which successfully saves every single gram of weight without sacrificing structural integrity and improves aerodynamic efficiency.

To reduce the loss of braking power from flex and torque of the central tube between the two sides of the hub, a special one-piece system has been devised with internal stiffening ribs, which eliminate flexing within the hub shell, increasing braking power and consistency.
This technology ensures that the wheels this technology is applied to can be converted to use a Tubeless Tyre System and if preferred, you can use standard tubes also.
