The combination of a high collar, windproof material and water resistance in the front, shoulders and side panels vis a waterproof membrane keep Arctic blasts and sharp showers at bay with ease. At the same time, the mesh rear panel is there for when your body temperature starts to rise, dissipating both excess heat and sweat to keep you dry and comfortable for longer.
Although the Hemisphere Gilet works best when worn from the start of your ride or race, it can be easily folded into its own zipped pocket to be taken as an emergency option for when the weather is particularly unpredictable. It should also be pointed out just how great it feels to wear the gilet: the Italian polyester feels great against the body, the silicone gripper at the waist keeps everything in place without feeling restrictive, the panelled construction adapts to fit your individual body shape, and the full-length zip adds extra ventilation options as and when you need them. In the back, three deep pockets are perfect for keeping tools and nutritional items handy (a fourth, zipped pocket can be found on the side), while reflective details in all the right places round things out perfectly to keep you safe and seen as the light begins to fade.
